Accountancy Supervisor Position

Levitate Recruitment is delighted to present an exceptional opportunity for an Audit and Accounts Supervisor to join our award-winning accountancy firm in Preston.
As a key member of our Corporate team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality business support services to individuals and businesses across various sectors, including not-for-profit, academies, and professional practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support client managers in coordinating compliance service delivery and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Maintain regular contact with clients, develop relationships, and identify opportunities to add value
- Assist in arranging, preparing for, and attending meetings with clients
- Take responsibility for planning, fieldwork, and completion of statutory and other audits in various industries
- Manage audit teams on site and ensure timely completion of assignments within budget
- Review assignment work and report to senior management as required
- Provide support to junior staff members and assist them in achieving professional competencies
- Complete and supervise specialist audits under various client money regulations and grant funding schemes
- Perform internal audits for clients under an outsourced role
- Provide accounting support to clients by preparing management accounts, VAT returns, and undertaking ad-hoc projects
- Prepare individual and group statutory accounts under UK GAAP, including FRS102 for limited companies, LLPs, partnerships, and sole traders
- Prepare corporation tax, partnership tax, and business tax computations
- Manage personal fee targets, monitor WIP, and bill clients in addition to managing time
- Prepare and present reports and other documentation for clients
