Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Priory Hospital Bristol. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients on our 10-bedded female acute inpatient ward.

About the Role

This is an employed post that requires you to take consultant responsibility for general psychiatry on our female acute inpatient ward. You will work with patients coming to the hospital from referrals from the NHS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hold a CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant areas of Psychiatry and have experience of working in inpatient and outpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties.
  • Have experience at consultant level psychiatry and have held a consultant position in the NHS.
Person Specification
  • MRCPsych or equivalent
  • AC approved and S12 approved MHA 1983
  • Previous experience as an NHS consultant
  • Acute inpatient and outpatient experience
  • CCT in General adult psychiatry
  • Experience in working with multi-disciplinary team and being a clinical leader
  • Experience of supervising junior medical staff
  • Experience of working with management team
  • Experience of service change and improvement
  • Experience of involvement in clinical governance and improvement
