Assistant Store Manager - Bletchley

Pets at Home is a well-established name in the UK pet care industry, with a range of Pet Care Centres, Pets Grooming salons, and Vets for Pets practices across the country. We're looking for a skilled Assistant Store Manager to join our team in Bletchley, reporting directly to the Store Manager. As a key member of the retail management team, you'll be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, managing everything from recruitment, stock control, and store standards to driving sales and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee store operations when the Store Manager or Deputy Manager is unavailable.
  2. Maximise sales and drive performance to achieve key KPIs.
  3. Maintain high standards across the store, ensuring it's a great place to shop and work.
  4. Collaborate with the management team to create a seamless retail experience.

We'll provide you with industry-leading training, equipping you with the skills and knowledge to deliver top-tier service and care for our customers and their pets.

Requirements
  1. You'll have at least 6 months of hands-on supervisory/management experience in a retail environment.
  2. Passionate about retail with a track record of delivering great results and high standards.
  3. Flexible to work a 7-day shift pattern, including weekends.
  4. Ready to take on 6 months of training, covering everything from customer service and health & safety to caring for pets.
