At General Dynamics Land Systems, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Electromagnetic Systems Engineer to join our team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing plans for the electromagnetic testing of various systems, including RF and EM simulations, analysis, and mitigation techniques. They will also work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all engineering designs meet the required electromagnetic standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electromagnetic Testing and Analysis: Develop test plans and execute tests to validate the electromagnetic performance of systems, including RF and EM simulations and analysis.
  • EM Mitigation Techniques: Apply EM risk mitigation techniques, including grounding and bonding, shielding, and harness separation, to minimize the impact of electromagnetic interference on system performance.
  • System Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop electromagnetic systems that meet the required standards and regulations.
  • Communication and Documentation: Effectively communicate test results and recommendations to stakeholders and document all activities in accordance with company procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: University degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as electrical or electronics engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electromagnetic testing and analysis, with a strong background in RF and EM simulations and analysis.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in MS Office applications and other engineering software, such as FEKO and vector network analyzer.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Military Standards: Experience with military standards, such as MIL-STD-1275 and MIL-STD-461/464, and their commercial equivalents.
  • Electrical/Electronic System Experience: Experience with electrical/electronic systems on military vehicles, off-road vehicles, and/or typical automotive platforms.
  • Simulation Application: Experience with FEKO (or similar) simulation application.
  • Certifications: Certified TEMPEST Professional (CTP) or CTP in training.
Salary and Benefits:

We offer an attractive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
