About the Role

This position is an exciting opportunity to join OCS Group as a Parking Enforcement Officer in Cambridge. You will be working on a varied and dynamic rota, ensuring effective patrols of on and off-street parking areas within the city.

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining order and enforcing parking restrictions. Your duties will include:

  • Carrying out efficient and effective patrols to identify and address any non-compliance issues
  • Issuing penalty charge notices to vehicles parked against restrictions and recording verbal warnings issued to motorists
  • Reporting any defects with signs or lines, ensuring that parking equipment is functioning correctly and reporting defects promptly
  • Providing excellent customer service to members of the public, responding to their enquiries and concerns in a polite and professional manner

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing environment, preferably in a demanding setting such as hospitality or a call centre
  • Able to follow instructions and work within a closely managed operation
  • The ability to ride a bicycle in various weather conditions
  • The capacity to remain calm under pressure and handle conflict situations effectively
  • A flexible approach to working hours, including shift work and occasional overtime

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
