About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Planning Officer to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the Trust's compliance with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and the EPRR Core Standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain robust departmental business continuity and emergency incident plans and responses across the organisation.
  2. Co-ordinate and collate planning responses to provide Trust level emergency response plans covering all reasonable foreseeable internal and external incidents.
  3. Contribute to the debriefing process following any incidents and co-ordinate action plans to address learning identified from the de-brief process.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level with evidence of academic development.
  • Proven experience of delivering training and communicating key messages.
  • Supporting the delivery of projects across an organisation.
  • Experience of managing risks and reporting.
  • Proven experience of writing reports to a high level.
