Swim Team Leader Position

At Sporting House, we are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our swimming team as a Swim Team Leader. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about changing lives through learning to swim and wants to make a difference in the lives of our customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the safety of our swimming lesson provision, delivering lifesaving and first aid provision, and providing excellent standards of customer experience and premium facilities. They will also be responsible for supervising the pool, supporting the teaching team, and using technology to support and engage customers.
This role is perfect for someone who is energetic, passionate, and hardworking, with a strong commitment to quality and cleanliness. The successful candidate will be fully funded for training and qualifications, and will have the opportunity to progress and work towards qualifications in swimming teaching to children, babies, adults, and more.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-focused approach and a determined and committed attitude. They will also be able to work in an active, energetic sporting environment and have a reasonable swimming ability.
As a keyholder, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe provision of all equipment usage, storage, cleaning, and maintenance. They will also be responsible for completing and recording electronically all relevant health and safety checks as assigned on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis by the Swim manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide lifeguard duties for learn to swim lessons for 0-11 year olds, ranging from non-swimmers to competent swimmers
- Plan, deliver, and review high-quality, themed learn to swim lessons to 3-11 years, babies, and adults
- Deliver exceptional customer care to every swimmer and family member in and out of the water
- Ensure the safe provision of all equipment usage, storage, cleaning, and maintenance
- Complete and record electronically all relevant health and safety checks as assigned on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis by the Swim manager
- Help maintain the facility to a high standard at all times by ensuring the centre is clean and safe for all users and staff
- Demonstrate a commitment to personal development through training, observation, and feedback on performance to ensure high standards of delivery
- Be a positive role model for young people, encouraging them to reach their full swimming potential
- Deliver the Swim experience, including servicing customer enquiries, showing potential customers round the centre, driving memberships, and attending regular training with the Swim team to share best practice and ensure high standards of delivery are maintained
- Give out award badges and certificates to celebrate swimmers' achievements
- Abide by a code of conduct and carry out duties in accordance with all Swim policies, including equal opportunities, safeguarding children, health and safety at work, operational procedures, etc. (training provided)
