About the Role

As a Care Assistant with Supply Desk, you will work with children in local schools, providing tailored support based on each child's individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for children with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Assist with classroom tasks, including focused learning activities and reinforcing key concepts
  • Support children's social and emotional development, providing encouragement and guidance
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor and report progress
  • Aid in personal care tasks (where required), adhering to safeguarding and health and safety policies
  • Promote an inclusive learning atmosphere, assisting children to overcome barriers to learning
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Support Worker, Teaching Assistant, or similar role in a school setting
  • Understanding of SEN and experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, or physical disabilities
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for supporting young people
  • Patience, empathy, and an adaptable approach to meet varied needs
  • Level 2/3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Childcare, or Teaching Assistance (desirable)
  • Knowledge and experience with personal care or willingness to learn (essential)
