Overview of Role

Home Instead is seeking a compassionate Care Support Specialist to provide support to elderly clients in their own homes throughout the area. This role involves building strong relationships with clients, providing companionship, and assisting with daily tasks.

Salary and Benefits

The competitive salary for this position is between £14 to £15.68 per hour, including guaranteed holiday pay. Bank holidays are paid double time. Additionally, Home Instead offers comprehensive training, part-time and full-time hours available, and a dedicated manager and 24-hour on-call support.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing companionship and wellbeing support to clients
  • Assisting with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation and light housework
  • Accompanying clients to appointments and outings
  • Supporting with personal care, including dressing, washing, and bathing
  • Administering medication and managing prescriptions
Required Skills and Qualifications

While experience is valued, it's not necessary. Home Instead provides comprehensive e-learning, training workshops, and competencies as well as in-field shadowing and ongoing support. Applicants must have a means of transport and be able to live in remote areas.
