Electronics Hardware Developer Role at Belcan

We are seeking an Electronics Hardware Developer to join our client's innovative team at Belcan.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics, and 2+ years of experience with RF measurement and instrumentation.

A strong understanding of physical-layer modem algorithms/standards (DVB-S2, CCSDS, SG NTN) is required, as well as hands-on RF measurement experience with analyzers, vector signal generators, power sensors, and network analyzers.

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop modular, reusable software in Python (or similar languages) for various setups.
  • Analyse calibration and metrology aspects, including statistical error analysis, confidence levels, and error budgets.
  • Troubleshoot and analyse link-performance issues.
  • Collaborate with DSP, hardware, and software teams to enhance system performance.
  • Define, design, implement, and maintain measurement/test solutions for link/modem validation.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
  • 2+ years of experience with RF measurement and instrumentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
