Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Mid Ulster, working on critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Ireland and the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to plan and deliver projects.
  • Liaise with designers and contractors to ensure design and construction drawings meet project requirements.
  • Prepare and apply health and safety documentation, including method statements and risk assessments.
  • Develop and manage project scope documents and tender packages.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of works.
  • Manage site personnel and subcontractors to ensure work is conducted safely and efficiently.
  • Complete quality checks to ensure works meet design outputs and are ready for commissioning.
  • Prepare commissioning documentation and supervise commissioning process.
  • Coordinate project close-out stages, including snag lists and handover to end users.
Requirements:
  • Third-level qualification in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in site-based environment, preferably in water and wastewater sector.
  • Experience writing electrical permits to work and controlling electrical health and safety on site.
  • Experience working with LV electrical switchgear and motor control centres.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, training, teamwork, problem resolution, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent literacy, numeric, and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Full clean driving licence.
