Job Title: Computer Science Educator

Description
MLK Education Search is seeking a dedicated Computer Science Educator to join our progressive 11-18 Academy in Liverpool. As a Computing Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and leading lessons in computer science.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To deliver high-quality computer science education to students.
  • To lead and contribute to the effective implementation of all policies and procedures within the department.
  • To participate in meetings, events, and activities that support the operational activities of the Academy.
  • To maintain a safe and engaging teaching environment.
  • To drive continuous improvement in standards, quality evaluation, and planning throughout the Academy.
  • To promote excellent behaviour, learning, attainment, and achievement among students.
  • To manage resources effectively and efficiently to meet the priorities of the Academy.
  • To celebrate success and implement strategies for ongoing improvement while addressing under-performance at all levels.
  • To ensure the health, safety, and welfare of staff and students.

Qualifications:
  • A relevant degree in computer science or a related field.
  • QTS qualification.
  • A strong understanding of computing teaching principles.
  • An excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum Programme of study for computing at Key Stage 3 and exam specifications at Key Stage 4 & 5.
  • An awareness of the relationship between computing and the wider curriculum.

Salary: £MPR/UPR (Estimated salary range: £28,000 - £41,000 per annum)
