As a shift-based role, you will work 12 hour shifts with a mix of earlies and lates, monitoring and controlling critical systems, and providing incident response and business continuity.

  • Monitor and control critical systems to ensure smooth airport operations.
  • Lead the engineering team on-site at incidents, liaising with internal operational senior managers.
  • Provide business continuity by instigating key contingency and recovery plans.
  • Act as a Control Engineer, Senior Authorised Person, and Authorised Person on various systems, ensuring regulations and safe systems of work are adhered to.
  • Acquire and maintain specialist authorisations through frequent training courses and assessments.
  • Support and nurture talent within the engineering team, providing inspirational leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
  • City and Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, HNC or above in an appropriate Engineering discipline.
  • Experience in communicating and influencing all levels of the organisation, dealing professionally with colleagues, customers, and business partners.
  • Full UK driving license and ability to obtain an airside driving licence.
  • Appointed as an Authorised Person or higher within a safe system of work.
