Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Healthcare Support Worker to join our Endoscopy Department at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our multidisciplinary team.
Main Duties
Working under the supervision of qualified staff, you will participate in the decontamination of endoscopes and other specialized equipment, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety. You will also assist in training new staff members in decontamination procedures.

Person Specification
- NVQ/QCF Diploma Level 2 or equivalent qualification in healthcare
- GCSE English grade G/1 (or above) or Functional Skills English level 1
- GCSE maths grade G/1 (or above) or Functional Skills maths level 1
- Completion of the Care Certificate (or willingness to undertake)
Desirable Criteria
- Decontamination training
- NVQ Level 2 in direct care
- Technicians' Training course in GI Endoscopy
Essential Criteria
- Understanding of the CSW role in Endoscopy
- Minimum of 1 year full-time equivalent experience as a Healthcare Support Worker or Trainee in a care setting
