At Daniel Owen Ltd, we are seeking an experienced Aircraft Fitter / Sheet Metal Worker to join our Structures Workshop team in Saffron Walden, Essex.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with a specialist in aircraft repair and refurbishment. As an Aircraft Fitter / Sheet Metal Worker, you will support our workshop with tasks on components such as flight control surfaces, engine inlets, fan cowls, thrust reversers, and landing gears.

You will be responsible for fabrication and installation of flush repair doublers to inlet and flight control leading edge skins, replacement of inlet lip skin segments and flight control surface skin panels, removal and replacement of sub-assemblies, and be conversant with all technical data (SRM, CMM, etc.).

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar position and hold an avionics apprenticeship qualification. Strong knowledge of aircraft engineering principles and practices is essential.
