Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Manager to join our Southern Development Planning and Enabling team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in project management of residential led/mixed use development projects, ensuring planning certainty and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of complex development projects across the South, identifying and overcoming development constraints and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including acquisitions and disposal colleagues, to assess planning and development risk and prepare project delivery strategies.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to procure and manage capital works contracts, ensuring compliance with planning frameworks and quality standards.
  • Support the Regional Director and Heads of in shaping and delivering the Annual Business Plan, addressing complex planning and development issues.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project management, town planning, and technical delivery matters, with a strong understanding of forthcoming policy changes.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders at a senior level, negotiate, and persuade, with a good understanding of commercial and operational impact.
  • Experience in collaborative working with a range of stakeholders and internal colleagues, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
