Job Title: SEN Teacher - Special Education Needs Expert

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team at The Supply Register. As a SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering tailored instruction to students with special educational needs, including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across a range of subjects, adapting teaching strategies and materials to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students with SEN.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, implementing specialized interventions and accommodations outlined in their Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Conduct regular assessments to track students' progress and inform instructional planning, collaborating with other professionals to evaluate students' needs and adjust support strategies as necessary.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment by implementing effective behaviour management strategies and providing social-emotional support to students with SEN.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching students with SEN, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Specialized training or qualifications in SEN education, such as a Postgraduate Certificate in SEN or equivalent, are highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of different learning needs and the ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual students' requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents/carers, and external stakeholders.
  • Patience, empathy, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of students with SEN.
