About the Role

Chemify Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Synthetic Chemist to join our team at the Advanced Research Centre on the University of Glasgow campus. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to the development of our cutting-edge platform for chemical synthesis and discovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute synthetic procedures to support product development and compound sales.
  • Collaborate with world-class chemists and laboratory teams to optimize synthetic campaigns.
  • Troubleshoot laboratory issues and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement processes and reaction conditions for efficient synthesis.
  • Lead scientific and technical projects, working closely with engineering and software teams.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a synthetic chemist, preferably with a PhD in organic or medicinal chemistry.
  • Deep expertise in specific areas of synthetic chemistry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Retrosynthetic analysis skills and experience leading synthesis projects.
  • Experience with robotic systems and electronic tools.
