Job Title: Logistics Supervisor

Undisclosed is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Supervisor to join our team. As a Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and arrangement of shipping for customers' orders in the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and arrange for the shipping of customers' orders in accordance with customers' instructions.
  • Organize shipment from suppliers' premises to Rugby warehouse and from Rugby warehouse to final customer plant in several countries (UK, China, Korea).
  • Ensure correct documentation is raised to achieve payment without delay.
  • Prepare and raise companies' sales invoices in the style and currency to achieve customs clearance and payment.
  • Read customers' orders to determine required method of packing, despatch, terms of payment, delivery address, case markings, documentary & delivery requirements and distribute documents accordingly.
  • Check worklist daily for items, quantity, and order status.
  • Create picking lists and shipping documents from SAP System and where necessary edit to suit customer requirements.
  • Raise export sales and freight and insurance invoices.
  • Raise Company Freight Insurance invoices on SAP (Billing).
  • Create and amend Billing documents.
  • Distribute documents accordingly.
  • Arrange insurance cover where appropriate.
  • Support tendering department by obtaining transport quotation.
  • Answer customer queries either directly or by reference to Sales & Services/Contracts.
Requirements:
  • GCSE or equivalent with English and Maths.
  • Experience of at least 2 years within logistics and customs.
  • Knowledge of forwarding systems and shipping procedures.
  • Detailed knowledge of customs regulations, export documentation and import regulations of overseas countries.
  • Computer literacy in SAP procedures and MS office suite.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of imports of repairs under IPR, or purchased goods, maintains records & schedules for goods under Customs Control Handling Imports of repairs under IPR, or purchased goods, maintains records & schedules for goods under Customs Control.
  • Previous SAP experience.
  • Capacity to manage and perform effectively when faced with a high volume of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Effective and professional communication skills over the telephone.
