We are a leading supplier of self-drive municipal, industrial, and specialist vehicles for contract hire in the UK.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our operations senior team.

The successful candidate will focus on improving, planning, purchasing, and inventory management to maximise business potential.

The role involves ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of fleet parts. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing, improving, and implementing procurement processes and supply chain strategy to support business growth.
  
• Managing the Demand Planning process.
  
• Continuously reviewing fleet parts requirements and identifying potential supplier sources.
  
• Developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies to optimise procurement processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
  
• Preparing, reviewing, and managing supplier and vendor contracts.
  
• Monitoring procurement budgets and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  
• Identifying opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or service.
  
• Risk Management by assessing and mitigating potential risks associated with the procurement process.
  
• Developing contingency plans to address supply chain disruptions or unforeseen events.
  
• Regularly evaluating procurement processes and identifying areas for improvement.
  
• Implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  
• Managing team performance and development.

To be successful in this Supply Chain Manager role based at Brighouse, you should have:

• Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, or supply chain management role.
  
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  
• Strong negotiation skills.
  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Knowledge of procurement and supply chain software.
  
• Proficient in contract management and supplier performance evaluation.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  
• Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies.
  
• Strong business acumen and understanding of financial implications in procurement decisions.
