We are seeking a skilled Fabric Maintenance Engineer to join our Barnsley Hub Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cutting-edge equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fabric handling equipment, including Beumer Sorters, Interroll Sorters, and Carousel conveyors.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with PLCs, Profibus, and Asi-bus systems.
  • Collaborate with external engineers and optimisation groups to improve processes and reduce downtime.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Communicate effectively with operational management, machine minders, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
  • Multi-skilled engineer with electrical bias and experience in fault finding across PLCs.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regs certification.
  • Strong understanding of automation systems, including Siemens PLCs, Interbus S field networks, and HW & SW Distributed I/O systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
