Quality Engineer Job in Canterbury

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team at Octagon Group in Canterbury, UK. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in implementing our Strategic Quality Plan and ensuring the highest quality standards in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain detailed records of Inspection Plans, ISIRs, and FAIRs.
  • Design and implement measurement policies to reduce scrap in the machine shop.
  • Participate in product design reviews to enhance production repeatability and reliability.
  • Conduct capability studies and gage R&R as required.
  • Perform internal audits to AS9100 standards.
Requirements:
  • CMM and Optical Measurement Systems: Experience with Coordinate Measurement Machines and optical measurement systems.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; proficient use of basic metrology tools in both imperial and metric systems.
  • Quality Systems: In-depth understanding of quality systems and the ability to maintain detailed quality records.
