Senior Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide clinical leadership to our neurodevelopmental/learning disability pathway in Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing psychiatric leadership to the multidisciplinary team, driving improvements in patient care and outcomes.
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and ensuring effective risk management for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Liaising with external agencies, including NHS England and Tier 4 services, to facilitate referrals and contribute to CRAFT and CPA meetings.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in child and adolescent psychiatry, with a proven track record of clinical leadership and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

We offer a competitive salary of £85,000 - £115,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Required qualifications and experience include:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • Section 12 MHA approval.
  • Approved Clinician status or willingness to apply.
  • Primary medical degree and Specialist Register status (or CCT expected within 6 months).

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

  • MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
  • Additional postgraduate qualifications in child and adolescent psychiatry.
  • Completed Clinical Supervisor training or willingness to attend.
