Calder C.A.D. Ltd is seeking a skilled Groundworker to join their team, working on various infrastructure projects, including drainage, concreting, kerbing, and flagging.

About the Role

A Groundworker is responsible for preparing the land for construction, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Key duties include:

  • Site Preparation: Preparing each site for building with barriers and safety signs.
  • Drainage and Water Management: Draining sewage water by flow or pumping.
  • Foundation Work: Laying foundations for buildings.
  • Concrete Work: Concreting and finishing concrete surfaces.
  • Kerbing and Flagging: Laying kerbs and flag stones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety: Undertaking all relevant risk and method statements, using best safe practices on all tasks, and carrying out thorough checks on all equipment.
  • Communication: Ensuring a tidy place of work, communicating with site management, and feeding back to site management with any near miss/close call reporting.
  • Teamwork: Attending all site briefings, forums, and toolbox talks.
