Job Title: Cybersecurity Firewall Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Firewall Specialist to join our team at KHIPU Networks Ltd. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for managing, supporting, and troubleshooting Palo Alto firewalls across various customer and internal networks.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of firewall policies, network security protocols, and best practices. Key responsibilities include:

  • Configuring and maintaining firewalls and network equipment across various environments
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting firewall and network performance, connectivity, and security issues
  • Implementing firewall policies, rules, and configurations to align with security best practices and organisational requirements
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments and recommending solutions for identified network risks
  • Supporting and carrying out firewall upgrades, policy and configuration changes
  • Occasional visits to customer sites where on-site work is required
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and change logs

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent certifications with alternative security vendors e.g. Infoblox, Aruba
  • 3+ years of experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, NAT, etc.)
  • Familiarity with security monitoring and management tools
