Job Title: Academy Strength and Conditioning Coach

Charlton Athletic Football Club is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academy Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our team. As a key member of our Physical Performance department, you will be responsible for designing and delivering individualized athletic development programs for our women's and girls' teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of our Physical Performance blueprint, ensuring a comprehensive and well-structured approach to strength and conditioning.
  • Design and deliver individualized athletic development programs, including group training sessions and injury rehabilitation training.
  • Work closely with our physiotherapist and sports therapist to develop and implement activation and prehabilitation programs.
  • Manage facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for our athletes.
  • Maintain accurate records of athlete progress and development.
Requirements:
  • BSc in Sports Science or a related discipline.
  • UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA) or ASCC accreditation.
  • FA DBS, FA Safeguarding Children, and FA Level 2 Introduction to First Aid in Football (EFAiF) certifications.
  • Experience working with women's and girls' football teams, with a strong understanding of strength and conditioning principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with athletes, coaches, and other staff members.
