About the Role

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor is a key member of the Chevron Traffic Management team, responsible for assisting the commercial and senior management team in ensuring efficient contract delivery and exceeding budgeted performance.

Responsibilities
  • Manage costs and suggest journal requests as needed
  • Review monthly management accounts and key performance information
  • Monitor and maintain data within the Company Inhouse Works Management System
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing of works
  • Manage Early Warning and Compensation Event process
  • Manage client disputes
  • Create in-contract pricing, estimates, and quotations
  • Assist with recovering aged debt and cash collection
  • Help prepare revenue reports and monthly management accounts
Requirements
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Experience working within a commercial setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Confident in working with IT/Digital system-led commercial management
  • Ability to build new and existing relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Full UK driving license
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge and experience of Temporary Traffic Management
  • Good understanding of the NEC form of Contract
  • Understanding of management accounts and financial reporting processes
  • Previous demonstrable experience in quantity surveying
