About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our team as a Technical Lead. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in driving our ambition to scale an outstanding engineering team, environment, and culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of senior engineers to ensure they have the right skills to build and maintain high-quality and reliable software.
  • Contribute to the development of our engineering culture by shaping and evolving our engineering standards, ensuring they are understood and adopted.
  • Provide engineers with the support, training, and opportunities to facilitate their growth through continuous learning and improvement initiatives.
  • Measure and monitor actionable performance metrics to drive improvement.
  • Provide feedback on and continuously improve our scaled agile processes.
Key Relationships
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with engineers to provide support, training, and opportunities for growth.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Strong experience in leading multiple highly collaborative development teams in a scaled agile environment.
  • Proven and successful experience in adopting and operating scaled agile practices and frameworks.
  • Excellent understanding of system design, software architecture, cloud, and software engineering methodologies.
  • Extensive background in hands-on senior software engineering in a variety of systems and technologies, including Go, Ruby, React, Kafka, Kubernetes, and AWS.
  • Experience developing and supporting engineers in their personal growth and career progression.
Requirements
  • No travel is expected with this role.
  • This role is not eligible for relocation.
  • This position is a hybrid of office/remote working.
