About the Role
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant to join a thriving Primary School in Oldham, working specifically in Key Stage 1. As a General Teaching Assistant in KS1, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of young students.

In this role, you will work closely with the teaching staff to deliver engaging and effective lessons, provide individual support to students with specific learning needs, and assist in preparing and organising learning materials. You will also help maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom by implementing behaviour management strategies when necessary.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons with the support of the classroom teacher.
  • Provide individualised support to students with specific learning needs.
  • Prepare and organise learning materials to ensure a conducive and interactive learning environment.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Contribute to the assessment and feedback process, providing valuable insights into students' progress.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively collaborate with teachers, students, and parents.
  • A compassionate personality with empathy, patience, and understanding is essential for this role.

Estimated Salary: £28,000 per annum based on location and industry standards.
