We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Drama teacher to join our team at a renowned school in Harrow. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated institution committed to providing high-quality education to its students.

As a Drama teacher, you will be responsible for inspiring and engaging students in the world of performing arts. Your passion for drama and the arts will enable you to create and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that promote creativity, teamwork, and self-expression. By incorporating a range of teaching methods and resources, you will ensure that all students have the opportunity to develop their confidence, communication skills, and appreciation for the performing arts.

The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of drama techniques, theories, and practices. They will also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who is passionate about drama and the performing arts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging and inclusive drama lessons to primary and secondary students.
  • Foster creativity, self-expression, and confidence in students through drama activities and performances.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement drama curricula that align with the school's goals and objectives.
  • Assess and record student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for their development.
  • Organize and oversee drama productions, showcases, and other extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect and teamwork.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and engagement in drama.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Drama or a related field.
  • Relevant teaching qualification and/or experience teaching drama to primary and/or secondary students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Enthusiasm for drama and the performing arts, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
