The OpportunityWe are seeking an eDiscovery Executive to join our Digital Legal Delivery team. This role will be responsible for day-to-day engagement with instructing teams to execute eDiscovery aspects of matters. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality services and contribute to building the reputation of our eDiscovery function.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and understand client needs, executing recommended technical solutions, and delivering effective solutions throughout the life of a matter.
- Help set accurate budgets for costs and timescales for cases, ensuring work is completed within budget and to agreed standards and deadlines.
- Develop project management plans for each matter, including evidence tracking, resource management, and risk management.
- Maintain project files, preparing file notes, memoranda, and communications with legal teams and clients.
- Liaise with team members to ensure correct solutions and processes are implemented at a cost-effective level and work is delivered on time.
- Work collaboratively with team members, supervising tasks delegated to analysts as directed by the Manager/Senior Executive.
- Execute tasks on cases with a high level of attention to detail, being proactive about consistency and quality control.
- Take the lead on individual cases, reporting to and updating Managers/Senior Executives on a regular basis.
- Assist in preparing presentations to internal and external audiences, conducting presentations when required.
- Participate in post-case reviews.
- Implement and support document review software solutions, providing support to technical and other changes in the use of technology over time.
- Assist internal stakeholders in working effectively with document review software and other relevant IT systems.
- Document review software expertise: Troubleshoot problems, liaise with software providers to resolve issues, and possess a sound understanding of the functionality of document review software.
- Work with Third-Party Partners: Support and manage third-party partner activities to support project deliverables, liaise with third-party partners, HSF legal teams, business services, and external clients to support effective communication, and provide constructive and timely feedback about the services of our third-party partners.
- eDiscovery: Work with Managers to challenge, develop, maintain, and continuously improve best practice eDiscovery processes.
- Protocols: Advise on eDiscovery processes and protocols, including communicating with Client Technology/Litigation Support representatives of clients and/or opposing law firms on disputes when applicable.
- Knowledge capture and process improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of relevant business processes and protocols, including case-specific process manuals.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced eDiscovery Executive with a strong background in document review platforms, eDiscovery processes, and legal technology. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 A levels (ideally B grades and above) and 2 years' experience in a similar industry. Expertise in document review platforms such as Relativity, Recommind Axcelerate, or similar is essential. Experience working within a similar team at the required level is also required. Proficiency in technical skills, good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively are essential.
