About the Role

As a Warehouse Service Shift Manager at Tesco, you will lead a team of Managers and colleagues to deliver exceptional service to our stores. Your key objective is to ensure customers have great availability and standards of product.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse trends in Big 6/KPIs, develop and implement warehouse improvement plans to enhance capability where needed most.
  • Maintain high My Performance standards, utilise tools to aid individual performance and productivity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Warehouse performance, engage and support your team in delivering these initiatives.
  • Co-ordinate all Warehouse plans, KPIs, and resources to ensure delivery and sustainable improvements on all KPIs, while achieving financial targets.
  • Champion change, share ideas and experiences to drive results.
  • Develop the capability of your Managers through Operational and Leadership training, providing ongoing coaching and mentoring.
  • Lead your team to deliver end-to-end Distribution Centre routines and standards in line with the Operating model.
  • Co-ordinate and forward plan for seasonal, trade driving, and promotional events to maximise sales within stores by ensuring stock is dispatched and received at the right time.
  • Collaborate with support office and store leads to maintain best-in-class Warehouse Operating procedures, focusing on providing excellent store service.
  • Focus your team to deliver accurate goods to stores, improving store product availability and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure your team maintains safety standards, hygiene standards, cold chain, and food hygiene.
  • Lead Direct to Depot changes, organising your Managers to deliver and sustain change programmes, achieving optimum product availability for customers.
  • Lead preventive shrink and security plans for your shift.
  • Operate collaboratively to achieve the best service for stores across all shifts.
  • Be accountable as Duty Manager for the shift, making decisions that are right for our customers, colleagues, and Tesco.
  • Lead the store community plan, generating and delivering ideas, and encouraging your Warehouse Service teams to do the same.
  • Develop the resource planning activities to effectively service our stores.
  • Build the capability of your Managers' knowledge of related Warehouse Service Shift Manager Distribution Centre and support them in identifying and resolving root causes issues.
