About the Job

We are recruiting a Learning Support Worker to provide high-quality support to students with Special Educational Needs at a SEN Secondary school in Worthing, West Sussex.

This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic and empathetic individual to contribute to the education and well-being of young people with special needs.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that provides tailored support to students with SEN, working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff.

Key Tasks:

  • Deliver 1:1 and group support to students with SEN, addressing their individual needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the needs of SEN students.
  • Support students in developing essential life skills, such as social interaction, emotional regulation, and independence.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with the SENCO and teachers.

Required Qualities:

  • Compassion and understanding of the needs and challenges faced by children with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
