Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Body Specialist to join our team at Shorterm Group. As a Coach Builder and Repair Technician, you will be responsible for undertaking newbuild and repair activities on vehicles of all types to the highest standard within scheduled times.

The ideal candidate will have experience in building and repairing vehicle bodies or coachwork, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that all work is completed efficiently and effectively, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and attention to detail.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking newbuild and repair activities on vehicles of all types
  • Retrofitting supplementary equipment to the highest standards
  • Caring for customers' vehicles and property, and seeking to achieve the highest customer satisfaction
  • Carrying out all work in a safe, environmentally friendly, and economical way
  • Building a bank of knowledge and skills to ensure you build to the latest recommended operating procedures
  • Sharing skills and knowledge to develop others within the business
  • Enhancing the reputation of Shorterm Group at every opportunity when interacting with others internally or externally

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in building and repairing vehicle bodies or coachwork
  • Strong manual handling skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A care for and attention to detail, with a focus on quality and safety
  • Numeracy and literacy skills to a level adequate to deal with documentation
  • The ability to understand vehicle make-up and operate complex machinery safely

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including:
