Our client, a leading bulk Logistics Service Provider, is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in road haulage planning, with a strong focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers, ensuring excellent operational performance. They will also be responsible for planning collections and deliveries on time, meeting customer requirements in full, and ensuring all operational issues are dealt with appropriately.

The Transport Planner will work closely with the Procurement team to ensure the best and most cost-effective haulage resource is used for service delivery. They will also be responsible for communicating clearly with Drivers and colleagues in the office, and for planning and organizing work in a structured way.

The ideal candidate will have excellent telephone and communication skills, as well as the ability to problem-solve and be creative in finding solutions. They will also be a strong team player, able to work on their own initiative and adapt to ever-changing scenarios.
