About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our team at a Barchester Care Centre. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our patients living with complex conditions such as dementia and brain injuries.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical, psychological, and social needs and collaborate with families to create care plans.
  • Evaluate care plans against changing needs and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Allocate key workers to patients, orientate new staff, and mentor them to the highest standards of care.
  • Support senior clinical staff and assist with investigations or complaints.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration and supervision qualification.
  • Experience in producing well-developed care plans and risk assessments.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of recent clinical practices and regulatory frameworks.
  • Extensive nursing experience in a mental health setting, particularly caring for patients with dementia.
