Electrical Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Veterans Lighting. Inc. dba Veterans Electrical Solutions. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility's electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform reactive and pre-planned electrical maintenance on a wide range of heavy production machinery.
  • Carry out fault finding on PLCs, with a focus on Siemens S5/S7 systems.
  • Work on Induction furnaces, Automated Casting lines, Milling, Rolling, Annealing, Pickling and Slitting lines, conveyors, pump systems, AC DC motors, contactors, relays, switches, sensors, solenoids, distribution boards, inverters, and overhead cranes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement project work and facilities maintenance as required.
Requirements:
  • Apprentice trained, time served, or equivalent experience in electrical maintenance.
  • Strong background in heavy industry, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Experience working with 3-phase machinery and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, particularly Siemens S5/S7.
