At Academics Ltd, we're seeking an ambitious SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team as an Aspiring Speech Therapist. This exciting opportunity is perfect for individuals who are passionate about helping children with additional needs reach their full potential.

You'll work in a small class setting alongside qualified Speech and Language Therapists, delivering interventions to children with speech, language, and communicational needs. Your dedication will make a real difference to the lives of these children, while you gain vital experience in the field.

  • Collaborate with the class teacher to provide an inclusive learning experience for students
  • Offer behaviour and pastoral support to students
  • Develop robust relationships with students based on trust and respect
  • Meet individual student needs through practical approaches
  • Utilize excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect with students and colleagues alike
  • Cultivate a caring and compassionate attitude towards students
  • Work one-on-one and in small groups with students to cater to diverse learning styles
  • Evaluate and ensure the safeguarding of all students
  • Engage in regular staff meetings and pursue relevant CPD opportunities
  • This role starts ASAP, offering a competitive salary of £80-100 per day, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30, during term time only
  • Ongoing on-site training, comprehensive support, and valuable CPD opportunities are provided
  • No prior experience is required; GCSEs in English and Maths are essential qualifications
  • If you hold a Psychology, Criminology, or Social Science degree, this role offers an excellent use of your academic background
  • Please note that having the right to work in the UK is mandatory for this position
