Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our team at a fantastic primary school in the St Helens area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to make a real difference in the lives of children.

Role Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to teachers and pupils, assisting with lesson planning, preparation and delivery, as well as contributing to the development of educational programs.

Salary: £21,948 - £25,714 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits including access to fully funded training courses and competitive pay rates.

About the Role: As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide a supportive learning environment for children aged 4-11. You will assist with daily lessons, contribute to marking and feedback, and help to prepare resources for classes.

Requirements:

  • BTEC or degree in Education or related field (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Ability to adapt to different learning environments and work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Good knowledge of National Curriculum and ability to contribute to lesson planning and delivery
  • DBS clearance (essential)
