Test Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our team at our central Norwich site. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the factory acceptance testing of a wide range of machinery, from component level to final assembly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Checking and verifying build standards and the functioning of equipment to engineering specifications and tolerances in a modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing environment.
  • Testing complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings, wiring schedules, and circuit diagrams.
  • Proficient in soldering, crimping, lacing, and splicing.
  • Competent in the use of electronic test equipment and able to follow complex test specifications.
  • Familiarity with a variety of Mil Spec Connectors, Cable Ident, and cable production techniques.
  • Assembly and testing/repair of PCBs.

Requirements:

  • Recognised apprenticeship in electronics or electro-mechanical engineering or be educated to a minimum of NVQ / City & Guilds level 3 in a relevant discipline.
  • Competitive salary that will increase as you train in the role.
