About the Role

Mace is seeking a highly skilled Planning Manager to join our team. As a key member of our consult business, you will play a crucial role in unlocking the potential of every project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards.
  • Develop and implement detailed plans, taking full cognisance of logistics, site, and project constraints.
  • Interface with project teams, contributing to the production of weekly progress reports and understanding functional obligations under contract.
  • Review and capture productivity to measure progress.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Incorporate sustainable design and procurement processes within integrated programmes.
  • Ensure health and safety through programme integration.
  • Establish and oversee project work plans and deadlines.
  • Undertake tasks required to fulfill project/assignment requirements.
  • Coordinate activities for teams.
  • Work collaboratively towards net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for proactive identification and management of associated carbon emissions and reductions.
Requirements
  • Established experience in the built environment and with projects.
  • Understanding of different procurement routes and types and forms of contract.
  • Basic understanding of Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) stages.
  • Able to respond to client/stakeholder requests effectively and sensitively.
  • Communicate and present to project teams on programme drivers, goals, and issues.
  • Listens effectively and probes for new and diverse ideas.
  • Working towards professional qualification (e.g., CIOB, APM, PMI).
  • Other relevant qualifications specific to local requirements.
