About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Researcher to join our team at the National Quantum Computing Centre. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the development of algorithms for near-future quantum computers and leading collaborations targeting real-world use cases for quantum processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement advanced algorithms for near-future quantum computers
  • Liaise with stakeholders to deliver practical solutions for quantum computing applications
  • Collaborate with government, industry, and academia to develop full-stack solutions
  • Mentor students and junior researchers

Requirements:

  • PhD (or near completion) in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related field
  • Expertise in state-of-the-art quantum machine learning or optimization techniques
  • Demonstrated experience in independent research work within an interdisciplinary team
  • A strong track record of publication in high-quality journals or conferences
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
