About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team at the Port of Grangemouth. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing electrical systems across the port, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance, repair, and fault-finding of electrical systems, including ship-to-shore cranes, straddle carriers, distribution networks, and lock gate infrastructure.
  • Installation and maintenance of LV electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, and control circuits.
  • Undertaking training as an Authorized Person for operating and maintaining HV distribution equipment.
  • Developing an in-depth working knowledge of plant equipment and associated drawings to minimize downtime when repairs are required.
  • Escalating any equipment damage to Supervisory staff and liaising with operational staff to inform of timescales for repairs.
  • Implementing best practice maintenance techniques to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure equipment is maintained for efficient plant operation.

Requirements:

  • Time-served qualified Electrical Maintenance Technician with previous experience in a heavily industrialized environment.
  • Good working knowledge of AC/DC control systems, PLCs, and HV/LV.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to develop good working relationships with all stakeholders across the business.
  • Ability to work at height, in confined spaces, and in an outdoor environment.
  • Full UK driving license.
