About the Accounting Firm

Pentagon Talent are delighted to be partnering with a leading Accounting, Tax and Corporate Finance firm located in the UK, who work with clients ranging from small to medium-sized enterprises and large corporations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of tax accounting disclosures and corporation tax computations for submission to HMRC for complex clients (e.g. corporate groups, private equity-backed businesses, large organisations)
  • Reviewing compliance work drafted by junior colleagues on simpler clients
  • Awareness of contentious tax issues, managing risk and advising clients appropriately
  • Quarterly Instalment Payment Calculations
  • Preparation of detailed capital allowances reviews, R&D claims, Group restructures and Corporation tax due diligence and supporting mergers or acquisitions
  • Developing relationships with the other tax teams and the wider firm, commercial and trusting relationships with clients.

Qualifications and Skills Required

In order to succeed as a Tax Senior, you will need to have a friendly and approachable demeanor with at least 2 years corporate tax experience within an accounting firm and ideally be newly qualified or part-qualified in a relevant professional body (e.g. ACA, ACCA, AAT, CTA).
