Job Title: Senior Learning Intervention Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Learning Intervention Specialist to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational, personal, and social development of students with varied and sometimes multiple learning barriers and needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a small team of Teaching Assistants to ensure effective delivery of educational programs.
  • Identify training needs and develop strategies to support staff development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with complex needs, promoting their academic and social growth.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a special educational needs setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff.
  • Excellent knowledge of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to achieve student outcomes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
