Job Title: Senior Python Developer

Department: Software Development

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Python developer to join our growing team at Movement8. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python application development, with experience in microservices architecture and API integrations. The role requires experience in developing REST APIs, integrating 3rd-party APIs, and working within a microservices environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Python.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with 3rd-party APIs, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange.
  • Work within a microservices architecture to develop modular, reusable components.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between backend and frontend systems.
  • Write unit and integration tests, troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Work closely with product managers, DevOps, and other developers to deliver well-architected solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Python application development (3+ years).
  • Experience in developing REST APIs and integrating 3rd-party services.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.
  • Strong frontend experience, particularly with JavaScript.
  • Experience in the financial services sector is preferred but not essential.
