MINI Plant Oxford - Manufacturing Optimization Engineer - 13 Month Placement

A key role in our Body In White team at MINI Plant Oxford is available for a confident and eager to learn individual. This team is responsible for the first stages of the MINI production journey, involving automated processes and joining technologies such as spot welding and structural adhesives.

The successful candidate will analyze production systems to identify faults and provide feasible solutions, managing the end-to-end process from fault identification to solution implementation. They will also support the integration of new models and engineering changes, using skills developed in their academic studies to complete research, analysis, and benchmarking to investigate potential process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research, analysis, and benchmarking to investigate potential process improvements.
  • Support the development and rollout of innovation programs.
  • Support new manufacturing facility and system improvements.

Requirements:

  • Studying towards a degree in Engineering or a related field and on track to achieve at least a 2:2.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office software such as Excel.
