Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a classroom setting. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the teacher in implementing individual education plans for students with SEN, ensuring they receive the necessary support to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the teacher in developing and implementing individual education plans for students with SEN
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN, helping them with their learning and development
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being
  • Collaborate with other staff members and professionals to support student progress and achievement
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment

Requirements:
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Diploma in Health and Social Care
  • Training in Manual Handling and Safeguarding
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position, working hours may vary
  • Classroom-based environment, with opportunities for professional development and training
