**Job Title:** Night Porter

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Night Porter to join our team at Mercure Winchester Wessex Hotel. As a Night Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the night hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their queries and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist guests with luggage and other requests, ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable.
  • Run night audit reports to ensure accurate financial records and identify areas for improvement.
  • Deliver guest mail, newspapers, and express check-out bills to rooms, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times, adhering to our hotel's brand standards.
  • Collect room service and breakfast cards, ensuring accurate billing and minimizing errors.
  • Assist Night Management with fire management, walks, and other safety procedures, ensuring the hotel's emergency procedures are up-to-date and effective.
  • Act in accordance with all security and emergency procedures, managing the instigation of these as required.
  • Attend training courses and assist with the Night Team's training and development efforts, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing, and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area.
  • Assist and support other departments as necessary, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.

**Requirements:**

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • High level of attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to work evening, weekend, and night shifts, with a willingness to be flexible with working hours.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and procedures, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
