Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our culinary team as a Kitchen Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation and production, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with food preparation and production, including meal planning, food safety, and presentation.
  • Work collaboratively with our Head Chef and Chefs to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Contribute to the attainment of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within our operation.
  • Ensure that all food and beverages are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Assist with the receipt and storage of goods deliveries, ensuring that control systems and standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Undertake personal responsibility for Food Hygiene, Health and Safety relating to food production and services.
  • Assist with the safe keeping and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
  • Participate in regular catering staff forums and contribute to a professional work environment.
Requirements
  • Professional Cookery Qualifications to (minimum) City and Guilds 706/1 or equivalent NVQ.
  • Level 2 Food Safety Qualification (Desirable).
  • Level 2 H & S Qualification (Desirable).
  • First Aid Certificate (Desirable).
  • Relevant technical culinary skills gained within a similar-sized and similarly-diverse environment.
  • Organisational skills.
